About the Role
We are looking for an experienced SAP Planning & Manufacturing Technology Lead to join a global group based in Geneva, Switzerland.
In this strategic leadership role, you will lead the technology team responsible for delivering, supporting, and evolving the applications that enable Manufacturing Planning across multiple production sites. You will combine technical expertise, people leadership, solution architecture, and product delivery to support the digital transformation of Manufacturing Planning.
Working closely with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Manufacturing teams, and external partners, you will oversee solutions supporting the entire upstream planning value chain—from S&OP, MPS, MRP and Production Planning to Detailed Scheduling and Manufacturing execution handover.
This position is ideal for a technically credible leader with a strong background in SAP PP and/or SAP APO PP-DS, Manufacturing environments, and enterprise application integration. Beyond leading an experienced team, you will play a key role in modernizing the technology landscape, strengthening operational excellence, and building a sustainable product organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, deployment, support and continuous improvement of Manufacturing Planning solutions.
- Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap in alignment with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects and Manufacturing business priorities.
- Own the technology landscape supporting Manufacturing Planning, ensuring scalability, reliability and long-term sustainability.
- Drive the successful delivery of projects and product enhancements across strategic, tactical and operational planning processes.
- Act as the technical lead for complex integration topics between SAP and surrounding Manufacturing applications.
- Ensure compliance with architecture standards, security guidelines and software development best practices.
- Manage team capacity, staffing, budget planning and resource allocation.
- Support Product Owners in backlog prioritization and Agile delivery.
- Lead the continuous improvement of the support organization by enhancing documentation, knowledge sharing and operational processes.
- Coordinate solution deployments across Manufacturing sites and ensure smooth transition into production support.
- Collaborate closely with SAP Technical Leads, Enterprise Architects, offshore teams and external partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Coach team members, promote collaboration, and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Contribute to the ongoing transformation from an outsourced delivery model towards a mature internal product organization.
Required Skills & Experience
- Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of experience delivering Manufacturing Planning or Industrial IT solutions, ideally within an international or consulting environment.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP PP and/or SAP APO PP-DS.
- Excellent understanding of Manufacturing Planning processes, including S&OP, MPS, MRP, Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end Manufacturing ERP projects from design through deployment and production support.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise integration, including SAP interfaces, APIs and modern integration architectures.
- Experience working with planning and scheduling solutions such as Anaplan, Oplit, Pelico, or equivalent platforms is considered a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of Manufacturing Data Analytics and reporting solutions.
- Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.
- Previous experience managing technical teams, including coaching, staffing, capacity planning and budget management.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical experts and business stakeholders.
- Professional proficiency in both French and English.
