Context
As part of strengthening its technology teams, our client—an international leader—is seeking a Network Manager. This strategic role supports the transformation and security of a global connectivity platform across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments, enabling secure, high-performance, and scalable growth.
Your role
- Lead & mentor: guide a team of network engineers (cloud & on-prem) with a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Zero-Trust by design: drive the adoption of Zero Trust principles to secure access everywhere (workforce, workloads, and devices).
- Next-gen architecture: design and deliver a scalable, automated, cloud-first network (VPCs, transit, peering, segmentation).
- Operational excellence: ensure performance, availability, resilience, and security across global networks with strong SLO/SLI discipline.
- Automation & observability: accelerate with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible), scripting (Python), and modern monitoring/alerting.
- Secure connectivity: roll out and optimize SD-WAN, secure web gateways like Zscaler, and robust remote access.
- Incident leadership: act as senior escalation during major incidents; coordinate response with the SOC and drive post-mortems & runbook improvements.
- Stakeholder management: partner with Security, Cloud, and Product teams; translate business needs into network outcomes and a clear roadmap.
Profile
- Experience: 10+ years in network engineering/management, including leading teams and delivering large-scale transformations.
- Cloud networking: hands-on with AWS (VPC) and GCP Networking (routing, gateways, hybrid connectivity).
- Enterprise stack: solid exposure to Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, F5.
- Security mindset: practical knowledge of Zero Trust, identity-aware access, segmentation, and collaboration with a SOC.
- Automation first: proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Python; CI/CD for network changes; Git workflows.
- Observability: experience with network performance monitoring, logs/metrics, and proactive capacity management.
- Soft skills: crisp communication, stakeholder influence, priority management, and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
